Best Practices🔗
Here & There is a community built on respect, positivity, and genuine connection. We encourage thoughtful conversation, supportive interaction, and participation that helps everyone feel welcome and included. To get the most out of the group, please take a moment to review and follow the best practices outlined in the sections below.
Introduce Yourself🔗
We highly encourage new members to create an introduction post as soon as you feel comfortable doing so. This helps put a friendly face to a name and makes it much easier for others to welcome you and start meaningful conversations. A great introduction goes beyond simply saying hello. Share a bit about yourself, such as your age, where you are from, and what brought you to Here & There. Let people know whether you are interested in dating, making new friends, or simply being part of an active and social community.
Adding a few details about your hobbies, interests, or how you like to spend your free time gives others an easy way to connect with you. Including one or two recent photos of yourself is also encouraged, as it helps build trust and keeps the group feeling personal and welcoming. There is no need to overthink it. Just be yourself, share what you are comfortable with, and enjoy getting to know the community.
View & Attend Events🔗
Attending events is one of the best ways to get the most out of Here & There. Meeting in person helps turn conversations into real connections and makes it easier to build friendships in a welcoming setting. Events give members a chance to feel included, meet people they might not otherwise interact with, and truly experience the community beyond the Facebook group.
Host An Event🔗
Members are always welcome to create and host their own events within Here & There. If you have an idea for a get together, activity, or outing you think others would enjoy, we encourage you to share it with the group. Member created events help keep the community active, diverse, and driven by the interests of the people who are part of it. To learn even more about how to create and host an event, please read this how to guide.
Questions or concerns?🔗
If you ever have a question, concern, or run into something that feels unclear, please feel free to reach out to an admin. We are here to help, provide guidance when needed, and support a positive experience for everyone in the group. Open communication helps the group run smoothly and ensures that issues can be addressed thoughtfully and respectfully.
