Group Rulesđź”—

1. Be kind & respectful, no hate speech or bullying

Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated. We encourage members to focus on positivity, support fellow members, and contribute to a friendly, uplifting atmosphere.

2. Respect personal boundaries

Members are expected to engage in ways that support a comfortable social environment. Do not send unwanted private messages, pressure members for personal information, or continue contact after someone has expressed disinterest. Repeated unwanted attention, private solicitation, recruitment for personal arrangements, or behavior that causes others to feel targeted may result in removal.

3. No spam or self promotion

Advertising, self-promotion, fundraising, recruiting, and repetitive promotion of outside interests are not permitted without admin approval.

4. Posts should encourage meaningful engagement

Content that does not create a clear discussion, offer useful context, or support the purpose of the group, including vague check-ins, low-effort posts, or attention-based content may be moderated. This space exists for social connection, shared experiences, and meaningful participation. Posts should generally align with that purpose.

5. Choose topics with the group atmosphere in mind.

Political debate, explicit sexual content, and other topics likely to create unnecessary tension or shift the atmosphere away from the group’s purpose may be removed

6. Give events room to succeed

Event hosts plan around attendance. If you respond “going,” please make a genuine effort to attend or update your response if plans change. Hosts may set reasonable limits based on venue size, timing, reservations, or event format. Please respect host guidance, venue staff, and the practical needs of each event. Repeated late cancellations, habitual no-shows, arriving without RSVP when space is limited, or behavior that disrupts events may affect continued participation.

7. Respect privacy inside and outside the group

Do not share screenshots, private conversations, personal details, or event photos of others without consideration for their comfort and consent. What is shared here should generally stay within the spirit of the group unless clearly intended otherwise.

8. Authentic profiles and participation matter

Profiles should appear genuine and active. Accounts that appear misleading, incomplete, or inconsistent with group expectations may be declined or removed. When joining, include the word respect in your answer to the rules question as confirmation that you have read through the guidelines. Authentic profiles are expected to include a visible profile photo and signs of recent activity within the previous 12 months. Must be a Michigan resident and 21 years of age or older.

9. Admin decisions are final

Not every situation can be anticipated in writing. Admins may moderate posts, comments, or membership when necessary to maintain the tone and purpose of the group. Moderation decisions are made to support the overall health of the group and may not always be publicly debated. Blocking an admin or mod will result in your removal.
